Night of Museums 2022

Night of Museums 2022
Sound Performance by Martina Lussi
Sat, 23 Jul 2022, 6–10 pm

Swiss artist Martina Lussi creates pulsating, familiar, and at the same time challenging soundscapes with her fascinating repertoire of field and studio recordings. She explores the diversity of electro-acoustic sounds in her compositions, interweaves them with her autotune vocal exercises, and immerses us into the atmospheric.

Martina Lussi (b. 1987) is working as a visual artist and musician living in Lucerne. Her music has been released on labels including Latency, Hallow Ground, and Ōtium. After her debut Komposition O08 (2014), her albums Selected Ambient (2017) and Diffusion is a Force (2019) her third album Balance 2021 was released by the Swiss label Präsens Editionen. In recent years, she has participated in several international festivals, including Novas Frequências (São Paulo), Berlin Atonal (Berlin), RHIZOM Festival (Zürich), Festival Variations (Nantes), and OK LÀ! (Montreal).

At 6:30 and 9:30 pm, Heinrich Dietz and Theresa Rößler will give a short guided tour through the current exhibition Owls and Promises by Alex Ayed (11 Jun–24 Jul 2022).
